Come learn about agricultural enterprise accounting and market dynamics from the experts at CLA Consulting. Todd and Linda both come from farming backgrounds, built successful businesses, and understand the dynamics of today’s agro-businesses.

Which cohort are you interested in registering for?

To keep group sizes small and encourage a more regional dialog, we will be repeating the course multiple times a week.  Each day of the week will emphasize a different region with different soils, climate, and crops.  

  • Northern Pennsylvania and New Jersey
    MONDAYS, August 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24, and 31st
    Emphasis on heavier soils, and commodity cropping operations 


  • Southern New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland
    TUESDAYS, August 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and September 1st
    Emphasis on sandier soils and operations with longer growing seasons, and vegetable operations.


  • Southeastern/Central Pennsylvania
    WEDNESDAY, August 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, and September 2nd
    Emphasis on loamy soils and operation with accompanying livestock operation


Course participants are encouraged to attend the webinar targeting their region but are also welcome to take part in a different webinar, should a scheduling conflict arise.

Todd Churchill

CFO, BizOps - Agribusiness

Throughout his career, Todd has offered Strategic CFO and accounting services to startups and fast-growth businesses in the food and ag industry, specializing in all parts of the beef supply chain, from seedstock to putting beef on the plate.  He founded Thousand Hills Cattle Company in 2003, which was listed on the Inc. 5000 list in 2011-2013.  He pioneered distribution of premium U.S. grassfed beef directly to over 1500 retail and foodservice locations.  Todd focuses on designing accounting systems for his farm and ranch clients that deliver Enterprise-level P&Ls.

Todd is a partner in his family farm and ranching operations in IL and OK, and he and his wife and kids raise horses and market their home-raised grassfed beef from their farm in Cannon Falls, MN

Linda Minar

Principal - Outsourcing

Linda is the CAAS Office Leader for the five locations of the Southern Minnesota CLA office. Her focus is on client accounting services, specializing in outsourcing accounting for both profit and nonprofit organizations.

Linda has more than 30 years of public and private accounting experience in start-ups and middle markets primarily in the construction, real estate, agribusiness and retail industries. Her experience has provided Linda with a vast understanding of organization strategy, accounting and reporting matters, business operations, internal controls and labor management. Since joining CLA, Linda has served as an Outsourcing CFO for clients and internally managing the CAAS practice for Southern Minnesota.
