Grazing School

Build Healthier Soils, Grow Better Pasture, and Improve Farm Profitability

Join us for a two-day, practical workshop designed for farmers and graziers of all experience levels to make the most of their land through adaptive grazing. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your system, this farmer-focused event will give you practical tools, techniques, and connections to take your grazing operation to the next level. This isn't just a class—it's your gateway to ongoing, one-on-one on-farm support that continues well beyond the classroom. Grazing School offers an unbeatable combination of expert instruction, hands-on experience, and extended technical assistance tailored to your land.

New Jersey farmers are invited to attend an upcoming two-day Grazing School on Feb. 7th and 21st, 2026 (snow date: Feb. 28th), held at Duke Farms in Hillsborough. Hosted by North Jersey RC&D's Regenerative Farm Network, this practical and hands-on program offers strategies to improve pasture productivity, resilience, and farm profitability through better grazing and pasture management. The Grazing School is designed for both beginning and experienced graziers of all livestock species. Participants will learn from grazing specialists and experienced farmers who will share proven techniques for building soil health, growing great forages, extending grazing seasons, and ultimately reducing feed costs and raising thriving animals. The school is open to graziers of all livestock species, including those managing cattle, sheep, goats and mixed-species systems.

When you attend Grazing School, you're not just learning for two days—you're joining a network of support and technical assistance from North Jersey RC&D that continues as you implement changes on your farm.
