Applications Open for One-to-One Technical Assistance Consultations & Soil Testing

Through the Regenerative Farm Network (RFN-NJ), North Jersey RC&D is offering one-to-one technical assistance and consultations to RFN-NJ members.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and batch processed every 1-2 months.

Apply now to be considered for these four opportunities:

1. Farm Business Plan, Annual Farm Budget, or Marketing

• Up to 90% of consulting fees will be covered, with a cap of $1,800, to work with a consultant on a farm plan, budget, or marketing.

2. Technical Assistance to Implement Conservation Practices

• Up to $1,000 in consulting fees to work with a consultant for technical assistance towards conservation practices. You may use a consultant of your choice with NJ RC&D approval.

• Examples of Technical Assistance:

  • Implementing or improving rotational grazing

  • Composting

  • No-till, roller-crimping, planting green

3. Nutrient Management Planning

• Up to $1,500 in consulting fees will be covered for nutrient management consultation services. You may use a consultant of your choice with NJ RC&D approval.

4. Soil testing

• Up to $400 for soil testing fees and shipping costs.

• Soil tests that include a biological assessment are encouraged. Look for labs that run Haney tests, Solvita, or the Cornell Assessment of Soil Health.

• Participants must collect and ship their own samples.
